Resolved Question: Would Helena, Mt be considered rural?

I currently live in Menlo Park, CA, it's a small city outside of San Francisco. It has a population of about 25,000 and everyone knows everyone; it's a nice place. But I'm thinking of moving to Helena for college (Carroll College), just to be away from home and see another part of America for a few years. Will it be a unbearable drastic culture shock? By the way, I'm not a typical San Franciscan. I'm Republican, I don't smoke, drink, dance, go clubbing etc. And I crave a close knit community, but I'm not the biggest outdoor person in the world....
